MAIN FUNCTIONS

Installs and maintains instrumentation equipment, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory guidelines and operational protocols. Inspects, calibrates, and repairs instrumentation systems integral to production machinery to uphold specified performance benchmarks and product quality standards. Assesses instrument functionality to develop detailed repair strategies. Records and confirms issues identified, as well as corrective measures implemented.

Responsibilities encompass a broad range of duties within this role, including the execution of core tasks central to the position. Key among these is the management and oversight of daily operations to ensure efficient workflow, along with the coordination of team efforts to achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, the position entails the development and implementation of strategies designed to enhance productivity and streamline processes. Accountability for maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with established protocols is an essential aspect, as is the provision of regular progress reports to stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive innovation forms a critical component of the role.

Responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all operations within designated areas in strict adherence to applicable laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and established procedures. A primary focus is ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols to mitigate risks and uphold organizational standards.

Supports and fosters collaboration among operations, engineering, and project teams to enhance collective productivity and alignment.

Contributes insights and evaluates control specifications and operational procedures to ensure alignment with established standards and best practices.

Ensures stringent oversight and accountability for all control systems outlined in the Work Management Manual.

Possesses the expertise to effectively implement and adhere to work permits via the Permit To Work System (PTWS), as outlined in the Work Management Manual.

Delivers high-quality results while ensuring all scheduled maintenance activities are completed within established timeframes.

Enhances both individual and collective technical competencies by incorporating emerging regulations, advanced equipment, evolving methodologies, and other relevant advancements.

Attends and provides instruction, as required, during technical meetings to ensure instrument technicians remain abreast of the most current specifications, codes, procedures, and technological advancements.

Facilitates ongoing dialogue regarding control measures—including safe work practices, training protocols, materials management, and related topics—with colleagues to ensure clarity and alignment.

Facilitates the prioritization of tasks to enhance overall effectiveness and align with the efforts of other teams.

Delivers technical assistance to fellow Technicians regarding the maintenance and troubleshooting of the company’s instrument systems.

Proficiently develops Management of Change (MOC) requests for control-related equipment and installations, ensuring adherence to installation specifications and compliance with OF System (OF) Element 3 requirements. Additionally, conducts thorough follow-up inspections to verify proper installation and implementation.

Constructs, monitors, and inspects new installations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, proposing enhancements as needed.

Serves as an alternate for the Instrument Lead role when required.
