Job Summary

Prepare, evaluate, and approve contracts, providing guidance and recommendations as needed.

Assess data to verify adherence to established criteria.

Provide expert legal counsel and assistance on matters that could impact the organization’s operations or interests.

Ensure adherence to all applicable statutory obligations and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for overseeing and resolving employee concerns regarding company policies, procedures, or workplace matters while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a positive work environment.

Demonstrates strong capabilities in composing formal correspondence and official documents.

Maintaining accurate file documentation and addressing company secretarial matters are essential responsibilities within this role.

Interprets and applies legal requirements and government reporting regulations pertinent to human resources operations while maintaining adherence to policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Conducts thorough analysis of relevant legislation, arbitration rulings, and collective bargaining agreements to identify and evaluate emerging trends within the industry.

Performs various other pertinent duties as assigned, ensuring the completion of all necessary assignments.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Law is required, with preference given to candidates holding a Master’s degree or professional HR certification, such as CPM or SHRM.

A minimum of two years of professional experience in human resources and legal compliance is required.

Comprehensive understanding of Nigerian labor legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Proven ability to organize efficiently, articulate clearly, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality is essential.

Meticulous attention to detail is required when examining legal documents and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite applications and specialized HR management software is essential.
