Responsibilties
Engage with Healthcare Maintenance Organizations, retainer-based practices, and corporate entities to verify patient eligibility and secure necessary pre-authorizations.
Accurate documentation and processing of bills for HMO and insurance patients must be maintained.
Track outstanding claims diligently to facilitate prompt reimbursement and maintain financial accuracy.
Provide patients with detailed explanations regarding HMO coverage, including relevant exclusions and procedural requirements as needed.
Serving as a liaison between our clients and our HMO partners, you will facilitate seamless communication and collaboration to ensure mutual satisfaction and alignment of goals. Your role will involve coordinating interactions, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that arise, all while maintaining strong professional relationships and adhering to established protocols.
Facilitating the acquisition of approval codes for eligible patients involves completing the necessary service requests on the HMO portal.
Crafting and dispatching emails to HMO’s serves as the primary method for securing approvals and obtaining necessary details or care directives for patients.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential for this role. Candidates must possess at least three years of experience in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are crucial. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and experience with Agile methodologies are also required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
Qualified applicants must hold an HND or a Bachelor’s Degree alongside three to five years of relevant professional experience.
