Job Summary

Triumph Power and Gas is in search of a driven Business Development Lead to propel our commercial growth and market expansion initiatives. This position will serve as the pivotal execution force, seamlessly connecting technical solutions with commercial delivery.

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager of Business Development, you will execute the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for our latest service offerings, oversee the day-to-day operations of the business development pipeline, and cultivate key institutional partnerships. Your role involves pinpointing High-Value Leads (HVLs) and driving high-impact contracts to solidify TPG’s influence across both onshore and offshore energy markets.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Key tasks involve coordinating teams, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity. Additionally, the role demands collaboration with cross-functional departments to achieve organizational goals, while also managing budgets and allocating resources effectively. Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Implement and oversee dynamic business development strategies and pipeline milestones to achieve sustainable revenue growth while enhancing profitability.

Pipeline & Account Management: You will be responsible for nurturing relationships with designated High-Value Customers (HVCs) while proactively identifying and engaging with prospective High-Value Leads (HVLs), guiding them seamlessly from initial contact to final deal execution.

Market Intelligence & Tendering involves staying attuned to industry developments, conducting in-depth competitive assessments, and systematically identifying forthcoming Onshore and Offshore EPIC project prospects to support the commercial team’s decision-making processes.

OEM & Partner Alliance Support: Provide assistance in sustaining collaborations with international partners, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Independent Service Providers (ISPs).

Execute localized go-to-market (GTM) activation strategies for new product rollouts, specialized technical service offerings, and regional expansion initiatives in alignment with management directives.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all corporate communication and documentation obligations involving essential state-owned business units and pivotal regulatory agencies, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Commercial deal processing involves overseeing contract examinations, drafting comprehensive Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and leading client-focused negotiations to acquire key accounts with significant value.

Cross-functional coordination entails collaborating with internal technical and operations teams to align efforts and achieve shared objectives.

The successful candidate must fulfill the following essential criteria: a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role, proficiency in industry-standard software tools, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are equally critical. Additionally, familiarity with compliance standards and a commitment to continuous professional development are expected.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related business discipline is required.

A minimum of five years of progressive operational experience in Business Development, Sales Account Management, or Commercial Operations is required, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Power, or Industrial sectors.

Proven expertise in technical skills and competencies is essential for this role. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in relevant technologies, methodologies, and frameworks to effectively execute job responsibilities. Proficiency in specific tools, programming languages, or systems is required, along with the ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial for troubleshooting and optimizing technical solutions. Additionally, familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends is expected to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.

Proficiency in the energy sector and experience with tendering processes are essential for this role. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of energy markets, regulations, and procurement methodologies. The position requires the ability to evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary to navigate complex tender documentation and regulatory frameworks.

Regulatory Framework Proficiency, including adept navigation of the NIP EX and NCDMB portals, is a key requirement for this role.

Experienced professionals in commercial sales and client management are sought to drive revenue growth and foster long-term client relationships. This role demands a strategic approach to identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and delivering tailored solutions that align with client needs. Candidates must possess a proven track record in sales, negotiation, and account retention, supported by strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis to track performance and optimize strategies is essential. Additionally, the ability to collaborate across departments and adapt to evolving market demands is required to achieve organizational objectives.
