We are introducing a premier restaurant concept in Tirana, Albania, seamlessly blending the bold, diverse culinary traditions of Nigeria with the refined standards of European dining. We seek two highly skilled culinary professionals—a Head Chef and a Sous/Station Chef—who have mastered authentic Nigerian cooking methods while demonstrating the innovation to adapt and elevate these dishes for a discerning, multicultural clientele. These individuals will embody the essence of our kitchen, representing both its identity and its heart.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to drive organizational objectives. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of processes and resources. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency and productivity. Monitor progress through regular assessments and reporting mechanisms, identifying opportunities for improvement. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to foster professional growth and development. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards while maintaining high ethical and operational integrity. Collaborate with senior leadership to align initiatives with long-term business goals and market demands. Manage stakeholder relationships to build trust, resolve conflicts, and enhance communication channels.
Menu Curation: Craft signature dishes that preserve the authenticity of Nigerian culinary traditions while accommodating diverse global tastes.
Quality & Presentation: Responsible for maintaining the plating and visual presentation standards of all dishes, ensuring each creation achieves an exceptional, high-end, and artistically refined appearance that distinguishes it in the competitive European culinary landscape.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, stock rotation, and food safety in accordance with HACCP and international regulations.
Operational Excellence: Spearhead the “heart of the house” by equipping local staff with expertise in authentic Nigerian culinary techniques, signature spice blends, and the refined artistry of food preparation.
Collaborate effectively with the remote management team to maintain a unified brand narrative, ensuring each dish served reflects our restaurant’s identity.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. Minimum of three years of relevant work experience is required. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is crucial. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are expected. Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices is preferred.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience within luxury hospitality environments, including high-end hotels, resorts, or fine-dining establishments, is required.
Technical Mastery: Extensive expertise in Nigerian regional culinary traditions, encompassing specialized methods such as open-fire grilling, artisanal spice preparation, and the creation of traditional stew bases.
Earned a culinary diploma or degree from an accredited institution, ensuring international recognition of certification.
Proficiency in international travel is required, including the possession of a valid passport, along with a demonstrated willingness to relocate to Tirana, Albania, for the duration of the project.
Demonstrates strong leadership by effectively guiding a diverse team and remaining composed amidst the high-pressure scenarios typical of a restaurant launch.
