Job Summary
The Group Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial management, reporting, compliance, treasury operations, budgeting, and financial controls of the entire Group. The role ensures the integrity of financial information and provides strategic financial guidance to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Group-wide accounting and financial reporting activities.
Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Monitor cash flow and treasury management activities.
Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive management.
Coordinate external audits and regulatory inspections.
Monitor profitability and financial performance across business units.
Review capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities.
Ensure timely filing of statutory and tax returns.
Lead and develop the accounting and finance team across locations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
Must possess ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum of 10 years’ accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial management role.
Experience managing multi-location business operations is required.
