Oversee and manage the logistics of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Compile and manage all essential shipping and freight documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Liaise with transport providers, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth freight operations.
Responsibilities include monitoring shipment progress and delivering consistent updates on their status.
Resolve delivery delays, shipment discrepancies, and any logistics-related challenges efficiently and effectively.
Maintain adherence to all applicable transportation regulations and established company policies to ensure full compliance.
Ensure meticulous documentation of freight transactions and delivery schedules with precision and accuracy.
Oversee freight expenditures and contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing overall costs.
Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to facilitate efficient cargo handling processes.
Compile regular reports on freight operations and their performance metrics.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline is required.
Experienced professionals in freight, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations will find this role particularly advantageous.
Organizational and coordination strengths are essential, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and align resources effectively.
Demonstrates outstanding verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal competencies.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
