Oversee and execute key operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while maintaining high standards of efficiency and effectiveness. Provide strategic leadership to drive project execution, monitor performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges, optimize workflows, and deliver measurable results. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex situations and devise data-driven solutions. Maintain accountability for meeting deadlines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks across all assigned responsibilities.

Secure and negotiate contracts for high-demand shipments bound for strategically selected destinations.

Deliver the specified quantity of clients’ products to the designated destinations punctually, ensuring adherence to the stipulated time constraints.

Conduct a comprehensive and accurate inventory check before assigning a truck to a driver or retrieving it from one.

Perform unannounced asset inspections and conduct monthly accessory reviews, followed by the submission of detailed reports outlining the findings.

Oversee drivers’ ongoing performance and function as their primary liaison for any arising issues.

In collaboration with the tracking unit, maintain accurate monitoring of drivers during transit to guarantee timely and target-driven delivery performance.

As the primary coordinator, you will oversee the strategic scheduling, meticulous planning, cost optimization, and efficient allocation of routes and vehicles, while ensuring the operational framework maintains the necessary adaptability to accommodate fluctuating customer demands.

Ensure full compliance of all vehicles with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, promptly escalating any identified issues and proposing appropriate resolutions to the Operations Manager.

Resolve unforeseen challenges that emerge during trips by addressing them promptly and effectively, ensuring optimal solutions are implemented, and leveraging these experiences to enhance planning for future comparable situations.

Observe drivers’ actions throughout their trips, intervening when necessary to address any instances of unsafe or non-compliant behavior.

Procure and sustain all necessary licensing, registrations, insurance policies, emblems, and permits for trucks. Address and resolve any on-trip ticket-related issues promptly.

Verify that all waybills and related loading documentation are accurately filed and submitted punctually to the accounts department.

Maintain meticulous documentation of vehicle logs, schedules, and fulfilled orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency in operations.

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections to detect any damages or defects, then document findings and obtain the driver’s signed statement before submitting a detailed report to the Operations Manager for review.

Prepare and submit all pertinent reports in a timely and accurate manner to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Assigned duties may vary based on operational needs and managerial discretion.

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized tertiary institution must grant a Bachelor’s degree or higher.

With a minimum of five years of experience in a comparable professional role, candidates are expected to bring a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise to the position.

Mandatory experience within a logistics or haulage enterprise is a prerequisite for this position.

Possesses strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to actively listen, process information accurately, and convey insights clearly and succinctly to drive favorable outcomes.

Delivers outstanding client service, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal abilities and a commitment to resolving inquiries promptly and professionally.

Proactive individual with exceptional organizational capabilities, adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently and maintaining a high level of productivity.

Proficient in utilizing software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the language.
