Leverage strategic initiatives to contract and acquire freight assignments for designated vehicles destined for select destinations.
Ensure drivers transport the precise quantity of clients’ products to the designated destinations punctually.
Conduct a comprehensive and accurate inventory inspection before assigning a truck to a driver or retrieving it from one to ensure all items are accounted for.
Perform unannounced asset inspections and conduct monthly accessory evaluations, subsequently preparing and submitting comprehensive reports detailing the findings.
Oversee drivers’ performance and act as their primary liaison for resolving any issues that may arise.
In collaboration with the tracking unit, oversee the accurate monitoring of drivers while en route to guarantee the timely and on-target completion of deliveries.
As the primary coordinator, oversee the development and optimization of schedules, route planning, cost management, and vehicle allocation to ensure operational flexibility that effectively addresses dynamic customer requirements.
Ensure all vehicles adhere to legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, promptly escalating any discrepancies to the Operations Manager with recommended corrective actions.
Address issues that emerge unexpectedly during trips by resolving them promptly and effectively, then applying the insights gained to improve planning for comparable situations in the future.
Monitor driver behavior throughout each trip, promptly identifying any instances of non-compliance with established regulations and issuing appropriate warnings to those in violation.
Secure and renew all necessary truck licensing, registrations, insurance policies, emblems, and permits. Address and resolve any issues arising from on-trip tickets promptly and effectively.
Ensure that all waybills and other relevant loading documents are accurately filed and promptly submitted to the accounts department within designated deadlines.
Maintain meticulously organized documentation pertaining to vehicle inventories, operational schedules, and fulfilled orders.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to detect any damages, dents, or other discrepancies, documenting findings and obtaining a written statement from the driver before submitting a detailed report to the Operations Manager.
Prepare and submit comprehensive reports containing pertinent information.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Earned a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited postsecondary institution.
With at least five years of professional experience in a comparable role, candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of success in relevant responsibilities. This hands-on experience ensures familiarity with industry standards, operational challenges, and effective problem-solving approaches necessary for seamless integration into the position.
Proficiency in logistics or haulage operations is a mandatory requirement for this role.
