Job Purpose
The Finance Officer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the sound financial stewardship of project funds, ensuring strict adherence to donor and organizational regulations, delivering precise financial reports, and meticulously maintaining all financial documentation.
Oversee a range of critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and adherence to established policies. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity, while managing cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and achieve performance targets. Monitor progress through performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and departmental teams to facilitate seamless communication and drive decision-making processes. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal standards, mitigating risks and upholding accountability across all operations.
Managed accounting documentation and ensured the accuracy of financial records.
Process financial transactions including payments, advances, and reimbursements in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Ensure all supporting documentation is thoroughly reviewed prior to the disbursement of funds.
Compile payment vouchers and record corresponding journal entries to ensure accurate financial documentation and compliance with established accounting procedures.
Oversee and manage casebooks, bankbooks, and financial registers to ensure accurate record-keeping and financial transparency.
Track and reconcile project expenditures with the approved budget to ensure financial alignment and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate on the development, revision, and forecasting of budgets to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
Compile financial records on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
We facilitate both internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements while providing necessary documentation and insights to auditors. This role involves coordinating audit schedules, preparing relevant materials, and addressing auditor inquiries to support a thorough and efficient audit process. Additionally, we assist in implementing corrective actions based on audit findings to enhance operational controls and mitigate risks.
Deliver comprehensive financial management assistance to field teams to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal accountability.
