We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team in an integral role focused on driving key initiatives forward. The position necessitates a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, along with a proven track record of delivering measurable results in prior positions. Primary responsibilities include overseeing project execution, managing cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring adherence to established timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the capacity to adapt to evolving business needs. Additionally, familiarity with industry-specific tools and methodologies is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidates will assist the Finance and Accounts Department by managing financial documentation, processing transactions, performing reconciliations, supporting accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring statutory compliance, and preparing basic financial reports.

This position is ideal for early-career professionals who hold a degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field, with up to three years of hands-on experience in the industry. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, numerical proficiency, a proactive approach to learning, and the ability to manage financial data with precision and discretion.

Oversee and execute key responsibilities central to the position, including managing daily operations, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and performance across departments. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth, streamline workflows, and mitigate potential risks. Monitor progress through performance metrics, KPIs, and regular evaluations, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development among team members.

Prepare, review, and file invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journals, and other relevant financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Provide support in entering financial transactions into the accounting system, as directed by a supervisor.

Perform bank, customer, vendor, and general ledger reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

Facilitate the monitoring and recording of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate financial documentation and timely processing.

Provide assistance in compiling and managing payments, expense claims, reimbursements, and retirements. Ensure thorough documentation and organized filing of financial records for audit, reporting, and reference needs. Collaborate in generating weekly, monthly, and periodic finance reports.

Prepare and maintain tax and statutory compliance documentation, covering areas such as Value-Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE), pension contributions, and other applicable deductions.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is essential. Proficiency in specific software or tools is required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is necessary. Familiarity with industry regulations or standards is a must. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical. Demonstrated leadership or project management experience is advantageous.

Earned at least a Second Class Upper Division degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable field of study.

A minimum of three years of professional experience in finance, accounting, audit, banking, consulting, or a closely related discipline is required.

Proficient in fundamental accounting principles, financial processes, and reconciliation procedures.

Proven aptitude for numerical analysis, analytical reasoning, and effective problem-solving.

Demonstrates exceptional precision and meticulousness in all tasks performed.

Demonstrates strong command of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to efficiently utilize these tools to support daily tasks and operational needs.

Proficient in analyzing numerical data, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation.

Professional qualification progress, such as towards ICAN, ARCA, ACA, or an equivalent certification, will be considered advantageous.
