Job Summary

The Field Agent is tasked with driving customer acquisition, mobilizing savings, monitoring loans, managing collections, and fostering strong customer relationships across designated territories.

This position requires frequent on-site visits to clients’ residences, commercial establishments, retail locations, and local communities to facilitate account initiation, verify loan details, track repayment progress, and foster business expansion.

Oversee a range of critical duties including managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality control. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for process improvements. Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, foster a culture of accountability, and support strategic business objectives through data-driven decision-making. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering professional growth and aligning individual contributions with organizational goals.

Prospect and onboard new clients for deposit and lending solutions to expand our customer base.

Responsible for initiating and managing customer accounts in strict adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Drive deposit growth initiatives and actively promote higher savings account balances among customers.

Perform onsite assessments to facilitate customer onboarding and verification processes.

Evaluate clients’ operational performance and financial stability to determine eligibility for loan funding.

Conduct thorough verification of addresses and guarantors as required.

Track loan disbursement and borrower repayment patterns to assess adherence to agreed-upon terms and identify any potential risks or delinquencies.

Monitor loan repayments to ensure timely payments and address any overdue accounts promptly.

Develop and execute targeted strategies to recover loans from delinquent accounts, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Develop and nurture enduring partnerships with clients and key figures within the community.

Provide comprehensive guidance to clients regarding the full range of financial products and services offered to ensure they make informed decisions.

Responsibilities include documenting customer interactions, collections, and field activities with precision and thoroughness in all records maintained.

Compose comprehensive field reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Acquire customers, mobilize savings, and recover loans in accordance with the assigned performance targets.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is required.

A minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience in roles such as Field Agent, Credit Officer, Loan Officer, Savings Mobilization Officer, or comparable positions is required.

Effective verbal and written communication abilities, along with the capacity to interact positively with colleagues and stakeholders, are essential.

Exceptional aptitude for negotiation coupled with a proven track record in debt recovery is essential for this role.

Demonstrates strong self-motivation and consistently achieves established objectives without direct supervision.

Possesses a solid understanding of the local market dynamics and business landscape.

Proficient understanding of lending processes and savings account management is required.

Skilled in operating smartphones and digital data collection applications with expertise.
