About the Programme

The South South BPO Workforce Development Programme seeks to equip young people across the South South region with industry-relevant skills for employment in Business Process

Outsourcing (BPO), technology-enabled services, and creative industries. The programme will adopt a training-to-jobs approach through employer partnerships, internships, apprenticeships, remote work opportunities, and entrepreneurship pathways.

The programme includes large-scale beneficiary mobilisation, employer engagement, curriculum co-creation, job placement, and stakeholder coordination across the South South region.

Role Summary

The Field Officer will support programme implementation through beneficiary verification, field monitoring, data collection, compliance monitoring, employment verification, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance activities.

The role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of programme data, supporting field-level implementation activities, conducting beneficiary and employer verification exercises, and providing operational support across programme locations.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining programme integrity, accountability, and data quality throughout implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Beneficiary Verification and Validation

Conduct beneficiary verification and validation activities.

Verify participant eligibility, attendance, certification, and programme participation records.

Support beneficiary onboarding and registration processes.

Maintain accurate field records and verification documentation.

Employment Verification and Tracking

Conduct employment verification and beneficiary follow-up activities.

Validate job placement outcomes and employment status.

Verify employer information and beneficiary engagement records.

Support post-placement monitoring and employment tracking activities.

Field Monitoring and Compliance

Conduct routine field visits to training centres, programme locations, and partner sites.

Monitor compliance with programme guidelines, operational procedures, and donor requirements.

Identify implementation challenges, risks, and quality concerns.

Escalate issues and provide recommendations for corrective action.

Data Collection and Quality Assurance

Collect programme data using approved tools and methodologies.

Conduct data quality checks and validation exercises.

Support surveys, assessments, audits, and evaluation activities.

Maintain accurate and timely programme documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

Support engagement with beneficiaries, employers, community stakeholders, and programme partners.

Provide field-level feedback and implementation insights.

Prepare field reports, verification reports, and monitoring updates.

Support programme reviews and accountability processes.

Required Qualifications

Professional Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting field assessments, beneficiary verification, employment validation, monitoring activities, data quality assurance, compliance monitoring, or community engagement.

Experience supporting development programmes, workforce development initiatives, or donor-funded projects is desirable.

Experience collecting and managing programme data in field environments.

Strong reporting and stakeholder engagement experience.
