This hybrid position requires the selected individual to work on-site for three to four days per week. The role will be based at our Academy located in Granada, Lagos State.
Teach courses encompassing pattern drafting, garment construction, sewing techniques, fabric knowledge, and fundamental aspects of the fashion business.
Oversee the continual enhancement and adherence to the academy’s curriculum, guaranteeing that students achieve established learning objectives and comply with industry standards.
Oversee interactive practical sessions, workshops, and student-led projects, ensuring active engagement and skill development. Evaluate and offer constructive feedback on garment fittings, necessary corrections, and final finishing touches to uphold quality standards.
Evaluate student advancement, provide individualized mentorship, and assist learners in developing portfolios tailored for industry placements.
Ensure a well-organized classroom environment, monitor student attendance, and oversee the safe and proper maintenance of all studio tools and machinery.
Assignments, tests, and culminating projects are designed and distributed to students. Student submissions are evaluated and graded impartially to ensure fairness and accuracy.
To maintain course content that resonates with both Nigerian and diaspora markets, professionals must diligently track evolving fashion trends, methodologies, and industry tools.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of two to three years of practical experience in fashion design roles.
Candidates must possess extensive expertise in operating both manual and industrial sewing machines, as well as proficient skills in pattern development, grading, and couture-quality finishing techniques.
Proficiency in fashion illustration design tools and fabric painting techniques would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, exhibit patience when working with novice learners, bring a creative approach to teaching, and possess a strong capacity to inspire and motivate students.
Capable of presenting sample garments or completed collections you have designed and constructed.
