Job Summary
We are actively seeking qualified Christian Medical Doctors specializing in gynecology to join our team, with availability to work on a rotational shift basis—either alternating day and night shifts or following a one-week-on, one-week-off schedule.
Our role encompasses a diverse range of key responsibilities, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive project execution, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing budget allocation, resource management, and risk assessment to achieve organizational objectives.
Clinical responsibilities include delivering thorough outpatient consultations, overseeing antenatal and fertility clinic operations, and administering specialized medical care for obstetric and gynecological conditions.
Independently execute or support obstetric and gynecological surgical interventions, such as Caesarean sections (C-sections), fibroid removals, ovarian cystectomies, appendectomies, and other related gynecological operations.
Oversee patient care by conducting daily ward rounds, coordinating pre- and post-operative treatment plans, and upholding exceptional, patient-focused service standards.
Emergency Response: Deliver round-the-clock on-site medical assistance throughout assigned shifts and manage obstetric emergencies with accuracy and efficiency.
Demonstrate administrative proficiency by ensuring precise documentation of medical records, engaging in clinical audits, and fostering collaboration across nursing and laboratory departments to enhance patient care outcomes.
Your role involves addressing patients’ medical concerns through a comprehensive approach that includes reviewing their medical history, performing diagnostic assessments, administering treatments, providing counseling when needed, and coordinating referrals as required.
Proficiency in ordering laboratory tests and analyzing their results is required.
Upholding strict confidentiality and demonstrating unwavering impartiality in all professional interactions and decisions are essential requirements of this role.
Collecting, documenting, and safeguarding confidential patient data, including examination outcomes, medical records, and clinical reports.
Assist in delivering infants, conduct necessary surgical procedures for patients, and participate in routine clinical ward rounds.
Clarifying medical protocols or recommended therapies to patients in an understandable manner is a key responsibility.
Collaborating closely with healthcare providers in both community settings and hospital environments.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver health education initiatives is a key responsibility of this role.
Ensuring adherence to the hospital’s established benchmarks for patient satisfaction metrics remains a key responsibility.
Engaging in thorough evaluations and discussions regarding innovative pharmaceutical products with representatives from pharmaceutical companies.
Staying informed about the latest advancements in medical treatments, therapies, and pharmaceuticals is essential to ensure optimal patient care and evidence-based practice.
Professionally observing and evaluating the performance of trainee physicians, nurses, and medical students is a key responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is essential, along with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is mandatory, as is a comprehensive understanding of current regulations and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and organizational abilities are also required to ensure seamless project execution and stakeholder engagement.
Possesses a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree conferred by a recognized accredited institution.
Full registration with a current practicing license issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) is required.
Required experience includes demonstrated expertise in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
