Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver ensures the timely transportation and distribution of the company’s gas products to customers by following designated routes.
Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing a broad spectrum of operational, administrative, and strategic functions vital to organizational success. Drive project initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Collaborate cross-functionally to align team efforts with overarching business objectives, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance with industry standards. Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights, informing data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement strategies. Lead and mentor high-performing teams, cultivating talent, and promoting professional growth to achieve collective and individual excellence. Serve as a liaison between leadership and staff, facilitating transparent communication and resolving escalated issues with diplomacy and strategic foresight.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of gas products to customers while fostering and sustaining strong, positive relationships with each client.
Deliver comprehensive product expertise and address technical inquiries from customers as required.
Operate the delivery van to ensure timely product deliveries while upholding vehicle cleanliness and operational efficiency.
Provide support to operators in the safe and efficient loading of gas cylinders onto vehicles.
Oversee the van inventory, perform daily stock reconciliations, and document any discrepancies identified.
Ensure sales records, customer visit documentation, and delivery logs are meticulously and accurately maintained.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development or a comparable technical role. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, as is hands-on experience with database management systems like SQL or Oracle. Additionally, candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment. Prior experience in agile development methodologies and version control systems is strongly preferred.
Minimum of one to two years of experience in delivery or driving roles is required.
A valid driver’s license along with a clean driving history is required.
Proficient in operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, with specific expertise in driving minibuses and vans.
Demonstrates diligence and reliability through a strong work ethic.
Proficiency in Lagos’ transportation networks and distribution frameworks is essential.
