Senior Product Manager

Our client, a distinguished Afro fusion restolounge in Kate, Lagos, is seeking an experienced Head Chef with a formal culinary background and an innovative culinary approach. What you will do:
Create a comprehensive menu concept through every stage, from initial development to final implementation, drawing inspiration from Afro fusion culinary traditions.
Craft innovative dishes, seasonal offerings, and immersive tasting experiences that showcase both creativity and rich cultural influences.
Direct and oversee kitchen staff to ensure uniform excellence in every dish served. Provide training and guidance to maintain high standards of culinary performance and operational efficiency.
Foster an environment characterized by strict adherence to standards, personal responsibility, and ongoing enhancement among all kitchen personnel.
Facilitate ongoing training programs designed to enhance team proficiency in techniques, standards, and newly introduced menu offerings.
Oversee kitchen inventory with precision, encompassing stock tracking, procurement, supplier coordination, and waste minimization initiatives.
Generate concise, accurate reports on kitchen performance metrics, food costs, inventory levels, and operational challenges for executive evaluation.
Responsible for managing food costing, overseeing kitchen budgeting, and ensuring menu profitability in partnership with the restaurant manager.
Ensure adherence to rigorous standards in food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and portion control at all times.
Maintain strict adherence to all food safety and health regulations at all times to ensure operational compliance.
You must maintain a consistent onsite presence, with a minimum requirement of five days per week, and provide direct, hands-on leadership within the kitchen environment rather than overseeing operations remotely.
What we are looking for:
A formal qualification from an accredited culinary institution is an essential requirement.
A minimum of seven years of professional kitchen experience is required, including at least three years in a Head Chef or Executive Chef position.
Demonstrates extensive proficiency in Afro fusion cuisine, supported by a well-documented collection of original menus.
Strong leadership abilities and expertise in people management are required, demonstrated through a proven history of assembling and nurturing high-performing kitchen teams.
Proven aptitude for training and developing teams, demonstrated through successful onboarding and skill enhancement initiatives for kitchen personnel across all positions.
Requires strong reporting capabilities to meticulously monitor costs, inventory levels, and kitchen performance with precision and reliability.
Demonstrates proficiency in calculating food costs, managing kitchen budgets, and overseeing stock control systems.
Demonstrates a sincere enthusiasm for innovation, coupled with the drive to challenge conventional limits while maintaining unwavering adherence to the core concept.
Maintains meticulous personal cleanliness, impeccable presentation, and unwavering discipline as core professional standards.
