Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, project execution, and operational oversight to ensure organizational objectives are met consistently. Responsibilities include delivering English Language instruction to students across Key Stage 3, as well as IGCSE, BEE, WAEC, and NECK classes, where applicable.
Equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in both internal and external examinations.
Enhance students’ mastery of grammar, writing, reading comprehension, literary analysis, public speaking, and analytical reasoning.
Develop and implement lesson plans that fully comply with the requirements of both the British and Nigerian educational frameworks.
Track student progress and apply targeted intervention plans as needed to support academic growth.
Utilize educational technology and digital resources to elevate teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.
Assist in the enhancement of educational programs and departmental advancement projects.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, Linguistics, English Literature, or a closely related field is required.
A minimum of three years of effective secondary school teaching experience is required.
Experienced in guiding students through WAEC, NECK, Checkpoint, IGCSE, or comparable examination preparations.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of the subject alongside exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in fostering a well-organized and disciplined learning environment while actively engaging students to maximize their participation and academic success.
A strong candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency, with verifiable expertise in educational technology, digital assessment platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, interactive classroom solutions, and AI-driven instructional tools.
Candidates holding TRCN certification or possessing postgraduate qualifications will be given preference.
