Job Summary
We seek a seasoned and highly skilled Group Head of Safety to strategically lead Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HESSE) management across our expanding operations.
This pivotal leadership position is tasked with advancing a robust safety culture, reinforcing operational safeguards, upholding regulatory adherence, and integrating industry-leading safety protocols throughout our downstream, midstream, marine, depot, terminal, retail, logistics, and infrastructure operations.
What You Will Do
Direct the formulation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Group’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HESSE) strategy, policies, standards, and procedures.
Promote and cultivate a robust safety culture proactively throughout all business operations and across every location.
Oversee depot, terminal, marine, logistics, retail, and project safety operations to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, statutory, and industry safety mandates.
Direct incident prevention initiatives while conducting thorough investigations, performing root cause analysis, and executing corrective actions.
Design and oversee safety performance indicators and management reporting frameworks to ensure robust tracking and evaluation of safety metrics.
Perform comprehensive operational risk evaluations, systematically identify potential hazards, and implement robust control measures throughout all company facilities.
Demonstrates robust safety leadership by overseeing vessel operations, product discharge procedures, tank farm functions, truck loading operations, and product movement activities.
Manage emergency preparedness protocols, coordinate response planning, conduct drills, and implement business continuity measures to ensure organizational resilience and preparedness for potential disruptions.
Develop and maintain effective liaisons with regulatory bodies, emergency services, security organizations, and relevant external stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive safety audits, perform detailed inspections, execute compliance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational safety standards.
Verify that contractors, vendors, and third-party entities adhere to the Group’s established safety standards and protocols at all times.
Support infrastructure development initiatives by integrating safety protocols at every stage of project implementation and commissioning.
