Job Summary

The Content & Publishing Manager oversees the complete content lifecycle and supervises the publishing operations for Detail and Acedia Limited.

This position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive content strategies, overseeing the creation of high-quality content, maintaining editorial standards, managing publication processes, coordinating distribution efforts, and analyzing performance metrics—all while ensuring alignment with client objectives and broader business goals.

This position oversees the operational leadership of the company’s publishing division, spearheading revenue generation, supervising book production processes, directing bookstore distribution strategies, upholding inventory precision, guaranteeing high production standards, and broadening the market presence of published titles.

The Content & Publishing Manager partners with cross-functional teams, external partners, retailers, distributors, writers, and clients to maintain streamlined publishing workflows and foster long-term business expansion.

Responsibilities include managing consignment agreements, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, and implementing efficient processes to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Strong analytical skills and the capacity to generate detailed reports are essential for identifying trends, forecasting demand, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Accurately document inventory levels, track stock movements, and oversee consignment arrangements within the bookstore.

Monitor inventory levels and oversee the procurement process to ensure adequate supply at all times.

Collaborate effectively with the Finance and Operations teams to uphold accountability and enhance transparency in stock management processes.

Ensuring robust governance, strict adherence to compliance standards, and the continuous pursuit of operational excellence remain central to our organizational objectives.

Uphold publishing standards, adhere to editorial guidelines, and comply with company policies consistently.

Oversee service level agreements (SLAs) and verify that publishing requests are executed in accordance with the established deadlines.

Analyze operational risks, production inefficiencies, and distribution obstacles, then communicate them through the proper channels for resolution.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, coupled with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Strong proficiency in relevant software and tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively are essential. Effective communication abilities and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development are also required. Additionally, familiarity with industry regulations and standards, along with a track record of delivering high-quality results, are highly valued.

A bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.

A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in publishing, content management, editorial operations, book production, or a closely related discipline is required.
