The Legal Intern will assist the Legal & Compliance team in maintaining adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the company’s business units. This position offers valuable experience in fintech legal operations, regulatory compliance, contract administration, and broad corporate legal support spanning the organization’s three primary business segments.

Develop and execute strategies to enhance operational efficiency and drive organizational growth, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives. Oversee daily workflows to maintain high productivity levels, while identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation, resolve challenges, and optimize resource allocation. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, provide data-driven insights, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, mitigating risks and upholding standards of excellence. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering strategic guidance and supporting informed decision-making. Lead initiatives to cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork across the organization.

Assist with the examination of fundamental contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

Provide assistance in compiling and maintaining legal documents and records in an organized manner.

Perform initial legal research to identify and analyze regulatory and compliance issues impacting business operations.

Provides support in tracking regulatory changes pertinent to fintech operational activities.

Conduct compliance assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies across all company operations and departments.

Support the preparation of straightforward legal correspondence and internal memoranda.

Responsible for preserving and regularly updating legal files, registers, and documentation systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.

Facilitate due diligence procedures as needed throughout the engagement to ensure compliance and informed decision-making.

Assist in facilitating communication with external legal representatives as needed.

Offer comprehensive administrative assistance to the Legal & Compliance department to ensure seamless daily operations and adherence to regulatory standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Skilled in performing mail merges in Word and collaborating on shared documents via OneDrive or SharePoint. A solid understanding of data analysis and reporting is required, along with the ability to troubleshoot common software issues independently.
