The Systems Administrator / Cloud Operations Specialist is a pivotal role tasked with ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our core server infrastructure and robust data protection measures. Serving as the organization’s lead authority on enterprise cloud backup solutions, this position applies technical proficiency to drive innovation and facilitate the seamless deployment of new product lines. Collaboration is central to this role, blending operational excellence with strategic engineering support to advance business objectives.

Oversee critical operational functions and execute essential tasks to ensure seamless business operations, including managing workflows, executing strategic initiatives, and maintaining organizational efficiency. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives, fostering collaboration and accountability to meet performance targets. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize processes and enhance productivity. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and identify opportunities for improvement, driving continuous enhancement across all functions. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating effective communication to support business objectives. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and ethical guidelines while upholding the highest levels of professionalism.

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee Cloud Backup and Data Protection Management within our Cloud Operations division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining robust backup solutions to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of critical enterprise data across diverse cloud environments. Key responsibilities include designing disaster recovery strategies, managing automated backup processes, and performing regular audits to verify compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Additionally, the role demands expertise in configuring and optimizing cloud-based backup tools, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data protection policies with business objectives. Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), backup software (e.g., Team, Comm vault, Rubric), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is essential, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills to convey technical risks and solutions to stakeholders.

Leadership and Implementation: Oversee and align the organization’s high-level cloud backup and recovery strategy, ensuring configurations are properly established, systems are continuously monitored, and performance and capacity are optimized through ongoing tuning.

Design, implement, and extensively validate Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) frameworks to ensure critical business data meets defined recovery targets, including Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO), thereby minimizing operational downtime and maintaining resilience.

Conduct routine evaluations of backup job performance, data retention protocols, and security frameworks to verify full compliance with established internal standards and industry-leading practices.

Monitoring and optimizing cloud storage expenses and associated egress costs for the backup solution

Enterprise System Administration encompasses the management and maintenance of on-premise and virtualized infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across organizational environments. This role demands expertise in deploying, configuring, and monitoring enterprise-level systems while implementing best practices for system administration, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and maintaining high availability. Candidates must possess proficiency in virtualization platforms, server environments, and network infrastructure, alongside strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include overseeing system updates, managing backups and disaster recovery processes, and adhering to stringent security protocols to safeguard critical data assets.

Environment management involves provisioning, configuring, and maintaining segregated technical environments—including Development, Testing, and Staging—to support product development and quality assurance initiatives.
