Job Summary
The Operations Pharmacist oversees pharmaceutical warehouse functions to guarantee the secure, compliant, and efficient storage, handling, and distribution of medications and healthcare products. This role enforces strict compliance with regulatory mandates, Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines, and organizational benchmarks while preserving inventory precision, product integrity, and operational productivity. Additionally, the Pharmacist delivers expert supervision, contributes to quality assurance measures, and partners with diverse teams to facilitate prompt order processing and maintain an uninterrupted supply chain.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of core duties essential to the role, including managing daily operations, developing strategic plans, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution, monitor performance metrics, and implement process improvements as needed. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and staff to facilitate clear communication, resolve escalated issues, and support decision-making. Maintain accountability for budget oversight, resource allocation, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Ensure strict adherence to PCN, NAFDAC, and GDP guidelines throughout all warehouse operational processes.
Maintain optimal storage conditions by regulating temperature, humidity levels, and adherence to cold-chain protocols, ensuring segregation of items, and proper handling of controlled medicines.
We are responsible for managing inventory operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
Review and authorize both incoming and outgoing products while maintaining precise batch tracking, managing expiry dates, and ensuring all documentation is accurate.
Conduct thorough reviews to identify and address discrepancies, damages, expiries, recalls, and non-conformances; subsequently, initiate and execute Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as required.
Coordinate regulatory inspections and internal audits while maintaining continuous audit readiness and overseeing the resolution of findings to ensure timely closure.
Work collaboratively with Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to facilitate streamlined order fulfillment and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Develop, implement, and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) in accordance with regulatory mandates and industry-leading operational practices.
Provide comprehensive training and ongoing supervision to warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
Monitor key performance indicators, including order accuracy, stock loss, and turnaround time, while ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards; compile and present detailed reports based on these metrics for analysis and decision-making purposes.
Maintain adherence to established health, safety, and security protocols to mitigate risks and uphold regulatory compliance.
