Job Summary:

The Medical Sales Representative (MSR) is tasked with expanding sales and increasing market share for pharmaceutical products in a designated territory, engaging directly with pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare professionals to drive product adoption and revenue growth.

Oversee critical operational duties, including managing day-to-day activities, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Coordinate cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and achieve departmental objectives. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Foster a collaborative work environment that prioritizes innovation, accountability, and professional growth. Additionally, oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to safeguard organizational stability.

Strive to consistently meet or exceed sales targets set for each month and quarter.

Responsibilities include marketing and distributing pharmaceutical products to pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics to drive sales and ensure product availability.

Proactively cultivate and expand the customer base across the designated territory by identifying promising prospects and nurturing lasting business relationships.

Cultivate and sustain robust professional connections with pharmacists and key accounts to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual support.

Perform routine customer visits to verify product availability consistently.

Plan and implement promotional initiatives while providing assistance during product launches to ensure successful market introduction.

Analyze competitors’ actions and track evolving market trends to identify strategic insights and opportunities for differentiation.

Prepare periodic sales reports and market intelligence analyses on a consistent basis to provide stakeholders with relevant insights and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Sciences, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, ideally within pharmaceuticals or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

Exceptional abilities in both verbal and written communication, along with adept negotiation capabilities, are essential.

Proficiency in Nigerian pharmacy distribution networks is considered beneficial for this position.

A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to travel as needed.
