Job Summary
An emergency physician, also known as an ER doctor, is a highly skilled medical professional dedicated to the rapid assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and stabilization of patients suffering from severe, time-sensitive illnesses or traumatic injuries.
In fast-paced hospital emergency departments or pre-hospital environments, they deliver swift, life-saving decisions before transitioning patients to specialized treatment teams.

Professionals in this role will evaluate incoming patients to promptly identify and prioritize individuals with the most severe, time-sensitive medical conditions.
Performing urgent, life-saving measures is a critical responsibility, including procedures like intubation, defibrillation, or managing hemorrhage to stabilize patients in critical conditions.
Diagnostics and evaluation involve ordering blood tests, imaging studies such as CT scans and X-rays, and EKG’s to identify the underlying cause of acute symptoms.
Deciding whether a patient can be safely discharged, requires hospital admission, or necessitates immediate surgical intervention falls within the disposition process.
