Job Summary
This position oversees the implementation of road construction projects, ensuring technical guidance, quality verification, and engineering oversight across designated site segments.
The ideal candidate will oversee earthworks, subcase, base course, and asphalt operations, ensuring strict adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
You will collaborate with the Project Manager, Surveyor, and QA/QC teams to uphold precise setting-out procedures, ensure the correct implementation of works, and maintain timely reporting of site progress.
Ensures the candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, alongside a minimum of three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Demonstrates proficiency with industry-specific software and tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exhibits excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. Requires meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines. Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory guidelines is essential. Must possess both independent work capabilities and the aptitude to operate successfully in a team-driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.Eng. or B.Sc.)
CORE registration, or active pursuit thereof, presents an advantageous qualification.
With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in road construction or civil infrastructure projects, you bring a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in demanding environments. Your expertise in these specialized fields demonstrates your ability to manage complex construction challenges while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
Accomplished professionals must possess extensive expertise in earthworks, pavement construction, and asphalt paving, demonstrating a proven track record in these specialized construction disciplines.
Demonstrates a comprehensive grasp of quality assurance and quality control methodologies as well as site inspection protocols.
Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and overseeing on-site implementation activities.
