Job Summary

The ideal candidate will spearhead strategic direction for the Oil & Gas portfolio, spearheading business development efforts, enhancing market penetration, cultivating key client partnerships, and guiding a high-performing team to meet the Bank’s financial and strategic goals.

Drive business growth, enhance deposit mobilization, and increase revenue generation within the Oil & Gas sector.

Formulate and implement strategies that are fully consistent with the Bank’s strategic goals and operational priorities.

Cultivate and oversee strategic partnerships with Oil & Gas firms as well as pivotal industry stakeholders.

Conduct negotiations and develop structured financial and transactional solutions.

Oversee, mentor, and cultivate the growth of Relationship Managers and Business Development teams.

Track and evaluate performance metrics, operational pipelines, and the fulfillment of business objectives to ensure alignment with strategic goals and identify areas for enhancement.

Guarantee robust credit quality, effective risk management, strict regulatory compliance, and rigorous KYC standards.

Act as the Bank’s official representative at industry forums and stakeholder engagements.

Enhance revenue growth by strategically promoting complementary Treasury, Trade Finance, Corporate Banking, and Digital Banking solutions to existing clients, thereby maximizing cross-selling opportunities across these key business segments.

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this role. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or business administration, is required. Applicants should possess at least three years of experience in a similar position, with a proven track record of delivering results in project management or data analysis. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with industry-specific software are mandatory. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

A first degree in any field is the minimum educational requirement, with additional qualifications considered advantageous.

With a minimum of seven to ten years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Commercial, or Corporate Banking sectors, candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in the field.

CBN certification is either a mandatory requirement or serves as a distinct advantage for candidates.

Accomplished in driving sales performance, cultivating strategic partnerships, and consistently exceeding revenue targets through effective leadership and client engagement.

Professionals should demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of the Oil & Gas industry’s operational landscape, including key risk factors and compliance obligations.

Analytical prowess, leadership acumen, and negotiation expertise are essential for this role.
