Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing both strategic oversight and hands-on execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices. Convert complex technical drawings, interpret welding symbols, and analyze fabrication specifications with precision and accuracy.
Execute MIG, TIG, and arc welding operations with a high degree of precision on carbon steel, stainless steel, and various alloy materials.
Oversee welding quality assurance procedures and verify that all outputs comply with AWS/BS EN specifications.
Prepare heavy metal components by cutting, grinding, and shaping them to precise specifications in preparation for welding operations.
Train and mentor junior welders and apprentices, ensuring they develop the necessary skills and competencies to meet industry standards, while overseeing their progress and providing constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Responsibilities include the regular upkeep of welding machinery and strict adherence to established safety protocols.
Investigate welding imperfections and provide recommendations for remedial measures.
Requirements:
Trade Test I Certificate holders with at least three years of demonstrated welding expertise are required.
Seasoned in delivering successful structural, pipe, and heavy fabrication projects, with a demonstrated history of excellence and project completion.
Certification in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding is required. Possession of a 6G pipe welding certification is advantageous.
Proficient in interpreting blueprints and capable of executing tasks autonomously with little to no oversight required.
Experienced professionals are expected to demonstrate exceptional leadership, analytical problem-solving abilities, and an unwavering commitment to prioritizing safety in all operations.
Capable of performing duties that require physical stamina, including working at elevated heights and within restricted or confined environments.
