Job Summary
We are in search of a seasoned Nautical Instructor, ideally a retired Master Mariner holding a valid Certificate of Competency (COC), to become part of our esteemed maritime training institute.
The successful applicant must possess substantial experience in classroom instruction and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional educational experiences to learners.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties centered on managing and executing critical projects within the organization. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and seamless project delivery. Monitor progress, evaluate performance metrics, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity. Identify potential risks, mitigate challenges, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive sustainable growth.
Conduct classroom-based training sessions and administer assessments for maritime students, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer and accurate evaluation of their progress.
Revise and enhance course materials to ensure full compliance with STCW and other applicable regulatory standards, maintaining alignment with evolving industry requirements.
Offer mentorship and support to students, fostering their personal and academic growth through professional guidance and constructive feedback.
Perform comprehensive evaluations of student achievement through various assessment methods to gauge academic progress and identify areas for improvement.
Partner with fellow instructors to uphold training standards and maintain consistency in delivery across all sessions.
Maintain current knowledge of evolving industry trends and regulatory updates to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
Seeking a driven individual with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or engineering, to join our team. Applicants must possess strong problem-solving skills, demonstrate proficiency in programming languages like Python or Java, and exhibit excellent communication abilities. Additionally, prior experience in software development or related roles is highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of collaborating effectively in a team environment, and committed to delivering high-quality solutions.
