As the driving force behind Working’s growth initiatives, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) serves as the cornerstone of our sales pipeline. This role involves owning the initial stages of the funnel by identifying ideal partners and prospects, crafting targeted outbound campaigns, and delivering well-researched, warm leads to the Business Development team for conversion. Additionally, you will contribute to hosting high-caliber webinars and live sessions designed to convert prospects into qualified pipeline opportunities. This dynamic, results-driven position is ideal for individuals who thrive in an outbound sales environment—valuing precision in messaging, meticulous CRM management, and swift follow-up—while aspiring to advance into a full Business Development career within a rapidly expanding global migration platform.

Responsibilities

Conduct prospect research and cultivate qualified leads to fuel the sales pipeline, employing strategic outreach initiatives to engage potential clients and nurture relationships. Execute targeted campaigns to identify decision-makers, initiate contact through personalized communication, and convert prospects into committed customers through compelling value propositions and follow-up strategies.

Research and construct highly targeted prospect lists by leveraging LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google, Apollo, Lush, and reputable industry directories.

We develop and implement comprehensive multitouch outbound campaigns spanning cold email, LinkedIn, and additional channels, tailoring each sequence to the specific segment rather than employing a generic mass approach.

Evaluate incoming and outgoing leads in accordance with the predetermined Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), promptly identifying and filtering out those that do not align with the established criteria.

Proactively initiate discovery calls with prospects on behalf of the Business Development team, taking full ownership of pre-call preparation by conducting comprehensive research to assess company context, identifying compelling reasons to engage now, and articulating the unique value proposition of our offerings.

Deliver customized follow-up outreach to prospects at each phase of the initial sales pipeline without delay.

Provide comprehensive CRM and administrative support by managing customer relationships, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient office operations to support overall business functionality.

Maintain and organize the CRM/lead tracking system (Notion) by logging every account, contact, touchpoint, and outcome within 24 hours.

Maintain precise documentation of stages, responsible parties, upcoming action deadlines, and original sources at all times.

Compile a weekly performance summary detailing lead generation metrics, outreach volumes, response rates, meetings scheduled, and conversion rates across sales stages.

Identify pipeline bottlenecks promptly and escalate them to the Partnerships & Growth Manager for further action.

Provide digital event and webinar support by ensuring seamless execution and participant engagement throughout virtual sessions. Manage technical aspects, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with speakers to deliver high-quality online experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, promote, and execute events while maintaining professional standards.

Organize, promote, and execute online events, webinars, and live sessions tailored to our agency, employer, and individual audience segments.

Develop or modify event materials—including slides, social media graphics, and one-pagers—utilizing Canva and our established brand templates to ensure consistency and visual appeal.

Establish and oversee registration workflows using platforms such as Zoom, Google Forms, Eventbrite, or Calendly.

Handle all attendee correspondence, including sending reminder emails, day-of-event notifications, post-event appreciation messages, and replay links.

Deliver technical assistance for various event components, including managing polls, facilitating Q&A sessions, handling recording operations, moderating live chat, and coordinating breakout rooms.

Perform post-event lead enrichment to systematically evaluate and qualify attendees, ensuring high-potential prospects are seamlessly transitioned into the outbound sales and business development pipelines.

Cross-functional Support:

Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop high-impact landing pages, compelling lead magnets, and persuasive campaign messaging.

Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to conduct thorough account research, develop strategic pursuit plans, and create compelling proposal materials.

Surface-level feedback gathered from the field—such as customer objections, pricing resistance, and recurring inquiries—should be systematically communicated to the product, content, and leadership teams to inform strategic decisions and improve offerings.

Requirements

Seeking candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in roles such as Sales Development Representative, Business Development Representative, inside sales, recruiting, or outbound marketing—preferably in a B2B environment.

Fluent proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential. Proficiency in a second international language, such as French, Portuguese, Arabic, German, or Spanish, is highly advantageous.

Demonstrates a track record of crafting highly tailored outbound messaging that consistently elicits responses, avoiding generic, one-size-fits-all mail-merge content.

Proficiency in utilizing LinkedIn—particularly Sales Navigator—as well as Google Workspace, Notion, and Canva is essential.

Proficient in utilizing email marketing and automation platforms such as Mailchimp, Apollo, Lem list, Instantly, or comparable systems is required.

Proven expertise in configuring and executing webinar and event technology platforms, including Zoom, Eventbrite, Calendly, and Google Meet.

Methodical, deadline-oriented, and CRM-adherent, you proactively maintain an orderly pipeline, ensuring tasks progress efficiently without external reminders.

You possess strong emotional intelligence, allowing you to accurately interpret a prospect’s cues, adapt your communication style accordingly, and discern the optimal moments to assertively engage or tactfully retreat.

Reliable computer hardware and a high-speed, stable broadband connection are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively within UK or EU core business hours.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, supplemented by at least three years of hands-on experience in software development. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with expertise in full-stack development, cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and DevOps practices. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, collaborative teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning in evolving technologies. Exceptional communication skills are also required to articulate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Compensation: Competitive remuneration package comprising a base salary complemented by commission-based earnings, ranging from 180,000 to 350,000 NGN.
