About the Role

The Sales Officer plays a pivotal role in increasing company revenue by discovering new business prospects, generating qualified leads, finalizing agreements, and fostering enduring relationships with both current and prospective clients.

The Sales Officer is expected to demonstrate a high level of accountability and initiative in their role. They should embody the principles of ownership, ensuring that their actions and decisions reflect a deep commitment to achieving the organization’s goals. Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Skilled in securing agreements and finalizing transactions through persuasive discussions and strategic concessions to meet or exceed sales targets.

To consistently achieve established targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with organizational objectives.

Ensure the accurate and effective utilization of CRM systems and other sales-related tools to maintain data integrity and optimize workflow efficiency.

Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and design, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Engages in regular communication with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any challenges that arise. Works closely with other departments to integrate feedback and refine product features, ensuring cohesive execution and successful outcomes. Participates in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategic discussions to contribute insights and drive collective progress.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between client requirements and company solutions, while delivering market insights and feedback to enhance product development and strategic positioning.

Partner with company leadership and cross-functional sales teams to finalize high-stakes sales agreements and drive successful deal closures.

Attend sales meetings and provide daily and weekly progress reports to the Line Manager.

Candidates must possess substantial professional experience along with a robust set of specialized skills.

Preferred Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is strongly preferred, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Familiarity with data preprocessing, statistical analysis, and experimental design is advantageous. Additional desirable skills encompass cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), version control systems like Git, and the ability to interpret and communicate technical findings clearly. Candidates with prior research or industry experience in AI/ML applications will be given special consideration.

A minimum qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in a relevant discipline is required.

1–3 years of proven track record in field sales within Fintech, Health Tech, Edtech, or enterprise/retail technology, consistently meeting or exceeding quantifiable targets.

Proficiency in the cooperative sector will be considered a valuable asset.
