Job Summary

Our client is in search of a highly motivated and outcome-focused Sales Executive specializing in building materials to elevate the performance of the sales team.

The ideal candidate will spearhead revenue expansion by providing strong leadership, devising strategic initiatives, and cultivating client relationships.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of essential duties to ensure operational excellence and organizational success, including strategic planning, team leadership, and process optimization. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to drive efficiency and accountability across all departments. Collaborate with senior management to align business objectives with actionable initiatives, fostering innovation and sustainable growth. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions. Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring seamless coordination and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining strong professional relationships. Provide mentorship and coaching to team members to enhance skill development and foster a high-performance culture. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies while mitigating risks.

With expertise in the Nigerian construction industry’s product landscape, you possess in-depth familiarity with available materials, technologies, and solutions tailored to the local market.

Possesses comprehensive understanding of products and maintains up-to-date knowledge of competitor offerings.

Sales reporting and forecasting entail analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and projecting future performance to optimize revenue strategies. This role requires proficiency in data analysis tools, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to interpret complex datasets to generate accurate predictions. Responsibilities include compiling detailed sales reports, tracking key performance indicators, and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. Candidates should possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with forecasting software or methodologies.

Skilled in negotiation and persuasion, with a proven ability to influence outcomes through strategic communication and compelling arguments.

Demonstrates strong proficiency in clearly articulating product specifications and benefits to diverse audiences.

Facilitating reporting processes and coordinating efforts with the sales team to ensure seamless communication and alignment.

Proven expertise in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with industry dealers.

Professionally represent the company by participating in trade shows and conducting on-site visits to project locations to assess progress and ensure alignment with project objectives.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background in a relevant field, complemented by demonstrated expertise in key technical and soft skills. The ideal applicant will possess exceptional analytical abilities, proficiency in industry-standard tools and methodologies, and a track record of effectively managing complex projects. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences. A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a closely related discipline is required, with a Master’s Degree considered advantageous.

Proven track record of 5 to 10 years in sales demonstrates a strong foundation in driving revenue and building client relationships.

Proven ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.

Must possess a proven track record in sales management within the tile sector, demonstrating at least five years of relevant experience.

Must demonstrate exceptional proficiency in persuasive communication and interpersonal engagement.

Proven ability to acquire new clients and expand the customer base is essential.
