This position is responsible for maintaining the peak operational performance of production machinery, utility systems, control systems, and instrumentation, thereby facilitating safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilties
Design and create control system architectures and instrumentation for production environments, focusing on programming for PLCs, His, and SCADA platforms.
Responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of electrical and automated control systems across processing units, packaging lines, and HVAC infrastructure within pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
Monitor system performance and conduct thorough root-cause analyses on failures in automated equipment to effectively reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
Experienced professionals are required to design, deploy, and maintain robust industrial networks, including Ethernet/IP, Profits, and Modbus, to facilitate seamless and secure data transmission between shop floor operations and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Responsible for preserving backups as well as version control of all automation software and associated configurations.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including drawings, schematics, panel layouts, control logic, and standard operating procedures.
Orchestrate automation enhancement initiatives by overseeing technical budgets, project timelines, and vendor deliverables to ensure seamless execution.
Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, complemented by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a Higher National Diploma in Mechatronics is required.

With a minimum of five to ten years of practical expertise in electrical control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies within a manufacturing or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in these specialized fields.
Proficiency in a pharmaceutical, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or strictly regulated manufacturing setting is essential.
Strong experience with PLC systems, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Schneider, as well as SCADA systems, is required.
Extensive practical expertise in pneumatic systems, sensor integration, actuator operation, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo motion control mechanisms is required.
