Overview

The External Auditor will oversee and lead multiple audit engagements spanning clients within private and public sectors, ensuring comprehensive and effective audit execution.

Lead audit engagements in partnership with Managing Partners, overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of comprehensive audit procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Assist in the preparation of proposals and play a key role in securing new business opportunities.

Consistently meet and exceed revenue goals while delivering outstanding service quality to all clients and stakeholders.

Conduct audit engagements in strict accordance with international auditing standards and established internal policies to ensure compliance and accuracy.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for subordinate staff members to enhance their skills and performance.

Support units by contributing to their objectives, specifically through the preparation of reports and the development of audit strategies.

Conduct thorough reviews of audit work to verify its precision and ensure punctual submission.

Work collaboratively with other departments to align communication and marketing initiatives, ensuring cohesive strategies and unified messaging across all teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary. Minimum of four years of experience in software development, preferably with expertise in Java and Python, is required. Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are also necessary. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git is expected. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders are a must.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree—or a Higher National Diploma—in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.

Requires a minimum of seven years of post-qualification auditing experience.

Membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or an equivalent professional organization is required.

Professional Experience in auditing clients across private and public sectors is required.

Additional Criteria:

Experienced in overseeing a portfolio of at least seven Category A clients for a minimum of two consecutive years.

Proficient in accounting and auditing standards, with a strong command of their principles and applications.

Exceptional proficiency in communication is essential, encompassing articulate verbal exchanges, clear written correspondence, and compelling presentation delivery.

Maintaining current knowledge of regulatory requirements and emerging trends within the industry remains essential.

Interpreting financial data with precision and insight requires strong analytical capabilities.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Caneware, Microsoft Office, and other pertinent software applications effectively.

Proven capability to collaborate effectively within team settings while simultaneously balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks with efficiency.
