Role Description
The Accounting & Administrative Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos.
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording financial transactions, preparing invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and financial reporting.
The officer will also handle general office administration, such as maintaining records, organizing files, coordinating schedules, supporting meetings, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Additional responsibilities include responding to inquiries, providing courteous customer service to students and partners, preparing basic reports and correspondence, and collaborating with colleagues to support organizational goals.
The role requires a detail-focused professional who can balance financial accuracy with efficient administrative support in a fast-paced educational environment.
Qualifications
Strong general administration and administrative assistance skills to support daily office operations and documentation.
Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with students, partners, and internal teams.
Excellent organization skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain accurate records.
Proficiency in basic accounting practices, including bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, and use of accounting or spreadsheet software.
Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and integrity when handling financial and confidential information.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site setting in Lagos.
Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certification or progress toward one is an advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting, administrative, or office support role, preferably in an education or service-oriented organization.
