Our esteemed client, a prominent entity in the construction, design, and architectural sectors, is strategically based in IKEA.

Our client, currently experiencing rapid expansion, urgently requires a proactive and highly articulate Accountant with at least five years of relevant professional experience.

Professionals with prior experience in comparable roles within the construction sector will be given preference.

Due to the hike in transport fare, candidates living within Ikeja would also be most preferred.

Analyze the terms outlined in both owner and subcontractor agreements to verify the precision and punctuality of progress billings and disbursements.

Comprehensively grasp and meticulously uphold the integrity of standard cost codes within the accounting framework.

Liaise with multiple funding entities, including Title Companies and Escrow Companies, to discuss the pay application process and ensure all required documentation and criteria for payment are met.

Administer the disbursement and collection processes for lien waivers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and financial agreements.

Each week, meticulously examine and authorize payables to ensure timely processing and payment.

Maintain professional correspondence with the Construction division, vendors, and subcontractors through phone and email communications.

Compile and document journal entries to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

Provide support during the month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Compiles and prepares monthly financial reports and performs detailed account analyses.

Oversee and address banking discrepancies such as unexpected fees and irregular checks to ensure accuracy and resolution.

Conduct comprehensive reviews of account and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established financial standards and internal controls.

Provide support in organizing and facilitating audit and tax return preparation activities.

Support the establishment and ongoing management of internal financial controls and procedural frameworks.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology is required. At least five years of experience in software development, system administration, or a related technical role is necessary. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are critical. Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are also required.

Interested candidates should possess a minimum of HND or Bachelor`s Degree with 5 – 6 years experience.
