You will oversee the hotel’s day-to-day financial activities, ensuring adherence to international hospitality accounting standards and Nigerian tax regulations. Collaborating with department heads and senior leadership, you will drive profitability while upholding stringent financial precision.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to managing daily operations, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and maintain high standards of quality across all deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives, resolve challenges, and foster a cohesive work environment. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize outcomes. Serve as a primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and facilitating transparent communication. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Prepare precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including comprehensive profit and loss reports.

Monitor expenditures and oversee the hotel’s budget to ensure financial efficiency. Track variances, collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage and Operations teams, and implement strategies to manage inventory effectively while minimizing waste.

Oversee the nightly audit process for revenue verification to ensure precise reconciliation and recording of all room, banquet, and ancillary revenues.

Oversee the punctual submission and payment of all statutory deductions, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT, ensuring full adherence to FIRS and LIES guidelines.

Cash Flow Management: Responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management, and daily cash flow forecasting.

Maintain and enhance internal control policies to ensure the safeguarding of hotel assets and mitigate the risk of fraud.

What We Are Looking For

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.

ACA, ARCA, or CPA certification is an essential requirement for this position.

A minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible accounting experience within the hospitality sector is required.

A strong command of hospitality ERP systems, QuickBooks, and advanced Microsoft Excel is required.

Exceptional analytical capabilities, elevated emotional intelligence, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality are essential for this role.
