We seek a Social Video Editor who thrives in the social media landscape and crafts content around compelling hooks, dynamic cuts, and emerging trends. What You’ll Own
Edit short-form videos ranging from 7 to 60 seconds for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts, ensuring appropriate cuts, pacing, and stylistic consistency. Additionally, oversee the editing of 2 to 10-minute YouTube videos and other long-form content as required.
Design the opening three seconds with compelling hooks to instantly arrest viewers’ attention. Incorporate strategically chosen captions, sound effects, background music, smooth transitions, and motion graphics that align seamlessly with the brand’s tone and identity.
Edit three to five videos weekly, overseeing each stage from initial brief to final export, ensuring a prompt turnaround of 24 to 48 hours.
Social publishing responsibilities include scheduling and publishing content via Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business, Later, and Buffer. Additionally, you will craft engaging captions, select relevant hashtags, and incorporate compelling calls-to-action to maximize audience engagement and drive desired actions.
A data-driven professional, you will consistently monitor industry trends, assess new content formats, and analyze key performance metrics such as watch time, audience retention, saves, and comments. Based on these insights, you will refine strategies, focusing resources on the most effective approaches to maximize engagement and impact.
Engaging with the community is essential; therefore, promptly responding to comments and direct messages is required to enhance interaction and foster a strong sense of community.
Requirement

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have 4–7 years of experience editing short-form content. A portfolio showcasing examples of viral or real content is mandatory.
Seeking a professional proficient in Cap Cut, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, with a strong grasp of motion graphics and familiarity with Canva as an added advantage.
Proficiency in the intricacies of platform-specific algorithms and adherence to optimal practices for vertical (9:16), square (1:1), and horizontal (16:9) content formats is essential.
Possesses a keen understanding of rhythm, tempo, sound composition, and narrative development.
Experienced in overseeing social media platforms, including developing content calendars, scheduling posts, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize engagement.
A keen eye for identifying trends and the skill to incorporate them seamlessly into our brand identity without compromising authenticity are essential.
Demonstrates strong organizational skills, thrives under tight deadlines, and actively incorporates constructive feedback to enhance performance and outcomes.
In the initial 90-day period, success will be demonstrated through the following achievements:
Maintain a consistent posting schedule, producing 3-5 high-performing videos each week.
