Work in close partnership with educators, parents, external agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals—including behavior technicians, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists—to facilitate seamless communication and coordination of support services.
Organize and arrange recurring meetings with key stakeholders to evaluate support systems for SEND learners.
Monitor learners’ progress and prepare essential documentation, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress reports, and intervention trackers, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of their development.
Maintain a secure and health-conscious workspace while strictly adhering to established safeguarding protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Special Education
Accomplished professionals with direct experience as a Special Education Teacher or in an equivalent capacity are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of contemporary special education trends, strategies, and best practices.
Professionals must possess demonstrated experience collaborating with children who have diverse disabilities, including physical, cognitive, and developmental challenges.
Competency in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is essential.
A professional requiring strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and perseverance.
Proven ability to build strong relationships through effective verbal and written communication, demonstrated leadership in collaborative environments, and a commitment to fostering inclusive and productive team dynamics. Experience in clearly articulating ideas, actively listening, and adapting communication styles to diverse audiences while maintaining professionalism and clarity in all interactions.
Hold a current and active special education teaching certificate issued by the state in which you are employed.
