Produce comprehensive, meticulously researched analyses of credit trends, with an emphasis on delivering insightful reports focused on insurance, corporate entities, banking institutions, and overall banking sector developments.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and verifying data, ensuring consistency in scoring, and identifying discrepancies that may impact overall accuracy. Applicants must possess strong analytical skills, familiarity with relevant rating methodologies, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Conduct comprehensive credit assessments focusing on Nigeria’s financial institutions, insurance companies, and corporate entities. Communicate your findings and recommendations to relevant committees for review and decision-making.

Acquire a comprehensive grasp of pertinent methodologies and demonstrate proficiency in their practical application.

Oversee ongoing developments to guarantee that ratings remain precise and predictive of future performance.

Effective communication with financial markets and issuers involves clearly conveying information, fostering relationships, and ensuring transparency to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic alignment.

Develop and preserve strong, high-caliber connections with fixed-income investors, financial media outlets, and senior executives at financial institutions.

Enhance the Company’s Banking, Corporate, and Insurance franchise by operating with autonomy while leveraging the support of the analytical team, with a focus on cultivating and strengthening relationships with pivotal external stakeholders.

Qualities and Experience

Requires demonstrated expertise in credit and risk assessment, complemented by robust financial analysis capabilities, typically acquired through employment with a financial institution, regulatory body, or public accounting firm.

Proficient knowledge of Nigerian corporate structures, their regulatory frameworks, and the critical factors influencing these markets, including key industry players and primary drivers of growth.

Clear and effective communication is required, demonstrated through concise verbal and written expression, along with prior experience in public speaking.

Possesses robust quantitative capabilities along with demonstrated proficiency in analytical reasoning.

Highly organized and efficient, with a strong capacity for multitasking and the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a robust academic foundation, holding at minimum a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in a related field.

A professional qualification in ACA or ARCA would be advantageous.

Proficient in both spoken and written English communication is required, with a strong command of the language enabling clear and effective verbal and written exchanges.
