Overland Airways, an HIPAA-certified airline headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, seeks a proactive and seasoned Marketing Officer to spearhead strategic marketing initiatives, enhance brand visibility, and drive the promotion of the airline’s offerings. The role will play a pivotal part in advancing the company’s revenue objectives and supporting its expansion goals.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align departmental objectives with broader company goals while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Serve as a primary liaison between senior management and operational staff, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and the resolution of escalated issues. Monitor financial performance, budget adherence, and resource allocation to optimize expenditures and maximize return on investment. Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention initiatives to cultivate a high-performing workforce, and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organizational culture.
Implement marketing strategies to support organizational objectives and drive growth. Formulate and execute strategic sales initiatives aimed at meeting revenue targets effectively.
Develop and nurture robust client and trade partner connections to ensure long-term collaboration and mutual success.
Explore emerging business opportunities and untapped markets to expand organizational reach and drive revenue growth. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify strategic initiatives that align with long-term business objectives.
Develop and execute strategic advertising and promotional initiatives for products or services across diverse social media platforms.
Plan and participate in various marketing initiatives or events aimed at enhancing brand visibility and recognition.
Liaise with key stakeholders and external partners to drive the successful execution of initiatives while strengthening the organization’s visibility. Manage all corporate social media platforms, promptly addressing inquiries and requests to ensure seamless communication and engagement.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should hold a B.Sc. or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline, achieving at least a second-class lower division or its equivalent in lower credit.
Applicants must be between the ages of 22 and 28 to be considered for this position.
With a minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a marketing officer, you bring a strong foundation in core marketing strategies and principles to the role. Your expertise extends to market research methodologies, as well as statistical and data analysis techniques, enabling you to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
A solid grasp of social media and web analytics is essential, as is a keen sense of creativity and commercial awareness.
Candidate should hold a WAEC Certificate comprising at least five credits, which must include Mathematics and English. Additionally, completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYC) program is required.
