A seasoned Fixed Income Sales & Trading Specialist with demonstrated expertise in execution and client engagement within the Nigerian fixed income market is being sought.

This position is centered on fixed income trading, sales, and distribution, with a primary objective of generating revenue through FGN Bonds, T-Bills, OMO bills, and corporate debt instruments.

The position involves collaborating with institutional and high-net-worth individual clients, facilitating both secondary market transactions and primary market initiatives.

Applicants are required to be SEC Sponsored Individuals or qualify for immediate sponsorship eligibility.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Lead initiatives that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and foster innovation while ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and departmental teams to facilitate seamless communication, resolve escalated issues, and support decision-making processes. Develop and maintain robust reporting frameworks to track progress, identify risks, and recommend improvements for sustained growth. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all operations.

Trade and execute Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) Bonds, Treasury Bills, Open Market Operations (OMO) bills, and corporate debt instruments with precision and efficiency.

Execute fixed income sales and distribution initiatives targeting institutional and high-net-worth individual (HI) clients.

Deliver comprehensive analyses encompassing pricing evaluations, yield assessments, and liquidity evaluations.

Facilitate secondary market transactions and process client orders efficiently, ensuring adherence to established protocols and compliance standards.

Facilitate primary market auctions and issuances to ensure seamless execution and compliance with regulatory standards.

Cultivate and nurture enduring client relationships, with a primary emphasis on fixed income flow.

Deliver consistent market analyses and strategic investment perspectives to stakeholders on a recurring basis.

Ensure adherence to regulations set forth by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the FMDQ Group, and the Nigerian Stock Exchange (USE).

Requirements

Professionals must possess seven to ten years of hands-on experience within Nigeria’s fixed income markets.

Professionals with significant experience in fixed income sales, trading, or dealer desk operations are encouraged to apply.

Clients should possess proven expertise in managing client relationships, along with a strong ability to execute projects and initiatives efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a track record of providing exceptional service and ensuring seamless project delivery in client-facing roles.

A deep knowledge of pricing mechanisms, liquidity principles, and yield curve dynamics is essential.

A candidate who is either currently sponsored by the SEC or meets the eligibility criteria for such sponsorship is required for this role.

Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in both verbal and written communication, alongside a keen aptitude for analytical reasoning and problem-solving.
