Oversee and execute a wide range of strategic and operational duties aligned with the role’s core objectives. Develop, implement, and monitor processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals while maintaining high standards of efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive project completion, resolve challenges, and optimize performance outcomes. Ensure adherence to compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout all initiatives. Analyze data, identify trends, and present actionable insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Serve as a key liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and synergy to achieve shared targets.

Leveraging strategic communication and market insight, you will secure and finalize agreements for transporting freight to high-demand destinations.

Verify that drivers transport the precise quantity of customers’ goods to the designated destinations while adhering to the specified time constraints.

Conduct comprehensive and accurate inventory checks before assigning or retrieving a truck from a driver to ensure compliance and accountability.

Perform random asset inspections alongside monthly accessory evaluations, then prepare and submit detailed reports summarizing the findings.

Oversee the ongoing performance of drivers and act as their primary liaison in the event of any issues that may occur.

In collaboration with the tracking unit, ensure accurate monitoring of drivers while they are en route to uphold on-time delivery performance and meet established target times.

Lead the strategic planning, scheduling, costing, and allocation of routes and vehicles, ensuring adaptable arrangements are implemented to effectively address the dynamic and evolving requirements of customers.

Ensure full compliance of all vehicles with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, promptly escalating any issues to the Operations Manager and proposing appropriate solutions.

Address unforeseen travel challenges by promptly addressing and resolving issues as they occur, then apply insights gained to enhance preparations for comparable future situations.

Monitor driver conduct throughout each trip and promptly notify those who violate established regulations.

Secure and sustain all necessary truck licensing, registrations, insurance policies, emblems, and permits in compliance with applicable regulations. Address and resolve any on-trip ticket-related issues promptly and efficiently.

Verify that waybills and all associated loading documentation are accurately filed and promptly forwarded to the accounts unit.

Maintain meticulous documentation of vehicle logs, schedules, and fulfilled orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency in operations.

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections to detect any damages or defects, then promptly document and report findings to the Operations Manager. Ensure the driver provides a detailed statement regarding the identified issues before finalizing the inspection report.

Prepare and submit comprehensive reports as required to ensure accurate documentation and timely communication of pertinent information.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

A recognized tertiary institution must award a Bachelor’s degree or higher as the minimum educational qualification.

With a minimum of five years of professional experience in a comparable role, applicants should demonstrate a proven track record in the field.

Proficiency in logistics or haulage operations is an essential prerequisite for this position.

Demonstrated interpersonal abilities, including exceptional listening skills, strong comprehension, and the capacity to convey ideas clearly and succinctly to achieve favorable outcomes.
