Job Summary
Skilled and dependable personnel are sought to assist with the ongoing fiber cable pulling and installation tasks for the GVA FTTH initiative in Ibadan.
This position is physically demanding and designed for individuals seeking an entry-level opportunity, with duties primarily performed outdoors. Ideal candidates should be eager to acquire skills through hands-on experience.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational excellence. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones, foster innovation, and maintain high standards of performance. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall business growth. Serve as a key liaison between departments to streamline communication, resolve challenges, and uphold company policies. Monitor progress through established metrics, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
Provide support in the transportation, loading, and unloading of cable drums, tools, and materials as required.
Establish and maintain drum stands, rollers, and pulling equipment at the job site to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
Clear any minor obstructions from the path and assist with traffic management duties as required.
Assist riggers and pullers with the execution of cable placement and pulling operations.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment at all times.
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and consistently utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout all tasks and operations.
Requirements
Capable of meeting the physical demands of daily outdoor manual labor, this role requires robust fitness and stamina. The ideal candidate must be physically strong and capable of handling the demands of outdoor work consistently.
Prepared to commit to extended hours in the field while diligently adhering to provided guidance and directives.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication is advantageous.
Prior experience within construction, telecom, or manual labor sectors is advantageous, though not mandatory.
Consistency, dependability, and strong collaboration skills are essential requirements for this position.
