The Head of Finance collaborates closely with the Managing Partner, serving as a trusted advisor on matters concerning the firm’s financial well-being and strategic commercial direction.

As the Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations and strategies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient budget management, and compliance with regulatory standards. Your role will involve leading financial planning and analysis, optimizing cash flow, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. Additionally, you will manage financial risks, implement cost-saving initiatives, and drive financial performance improvements. You will also be responsible for overseeing financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.

As a key member of the Strategic & Commercial Finance team, you will collaborate with business leaders to drive financial performance and shape strategic decision-making. This role involves analyzing market trends, evaluating investment opportunities, and ensuring alignment between financial objectives and business growth initiatives. Responsibilities include developing financial models, preparing insightful reports, and providing data-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and experience in commercial finance or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is required, and an MBA or advanced certification is preferred.

Responsible for managing core accounting functions on a daily basis, such as processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, handling payroll administration, maintaining accurate financial records, and overseeing fixed-asset accounting procedures.

Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Nigerian tax laws, and all applicable statutory reporting and filing obligations.

You’d be a good fit if you:

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, with an MBA considered a valuable asset.

A prerequisite for this position is holding a professional certification, specifically either ICAN (ACA) or ARCA.

A minimum of eight to twelve years of progressive finance experience is required, with a minimum of three years in a leadership capacity, ideally within consulting, advisory, or professional services environments.

A proven ability to leverage financial data strategically, driving actionable business insights to inform executive-level decisions.

With a track record of providing expert guidance on investment choices, as well as establishing, negotiating, and maintaining strategic banking partnerships, the ideal candidate will bring substantial experience to the role.
