Job Summary

The Sustainability Executive will play a pivotal role in driving the execution and oversight of the company’s sustainability strategy, with particular emphasis on RPO compliance, ethical sourcing practices, and adherence to ESG frameworks. This position will ensure full alignment with applicable regulatory mandates, certification protocols, and industry-leading benchmarks throughout all operational activities and within the supply chain.

Job Details

Facilitate the deployment and ongoing enhancement of sustainability programs aligned with the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RPO) Principles & Criteria.

Manage the RPO certification process, including planning and executing surveillance audits and recertification activities.

Responsible for overseeing RPO documentation, maintaining traceability records, and managing supply chain models, including IP, SG, and MB.

Gather, assess, and present sustainability and ESG metrics, including greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, water usage, and supply chain practices.

Assist in the administration of grievance resolution processes, conduct thorough risk evaluations, and develop corrective action plans (CAP’s) as needed.

Collaborate with auditors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to address sustainability initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Develop comprehensive sustainability reports and dynamic dashboards for both internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Facilitate employee education and foster awareness regarding RPO and sustainability standards.

Facilitate and support employee awareness and training initiatives focused on sustainability programs.

Monitor and analyze sustainability key performance indicators, then propose strategic initiatives to enhance performance metrics.

Keep abreast of the latest advancements, evolving regulations, and industry-leading methodologies in sustainability to ensure informed decision-making and strategic alignment with emerging standards.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of four years of professional experience in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy Efficiency, Palm Plantation, or ESG consulting is required.

Proficiency in sustainability reporting frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), IFC Performance Standards, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), is required.

Accomplished in carbon accounting methodologies and proficient in emissions tracking systems and data analysis.

Proven track record in cultivating community relations and fostering stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Proficiency in RPO standards and sustainable cultivation practices within palm plantations is considered beneficial.

Exceptional proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is required.

Candidates with supplementary sustainability training, relevant certifications, or prior experience in the field will be strongly preferred.
