We seek a meticulous and highly organized professional to join our Risk department as an Area Collections Executive. The selected candidate will spearhead efforts and processes related to the on-site collection of our PAY products. Additionally, they will provide strategic advice and recommendations to enhance customer payment compliance and satisfaction, ensuring the company’s offerings align with end-user expectations.

The role is a permanent, full-time position based in Nigeria, reporting directly to the Zonal Credit Manager for the West region.

What you would be expected to do

Evaluating regional portfolio and repayment patterns is essential, as it enables the development of daily, weekly, and monthly action plans aimed at enhancing collection rates from delinquent customers.

Conducting covert market visits ensures verification of sales quality and provides diverse insights from various regions, which are critical for refining strategic approaches to address issues such as disabled lamps and repayments.

Compiling weekly progress reports for the Sales and Risk Management teams, detailing field interventions executed and their corresponding outcomes, while also incorporating customer feedback and insights.

Develop and implement collection strategies to enhance repayment outcomes and improve customer satisfaction, including designing, piloting, and operationalizing the necessary processes.

Collaborating closely with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to facilitate the recovery of products from delinquent customers when direct engagement becomes necessary.

Any instances of product tampering detected in the field must be promptly reported via the Risk team’s designated process and reporting mechanism.

Responsible for initiating and coordinating reporting measures and corrective actions against individuals engaged in fraudulent activities, including product tampering and deceptive sales practices by field sales executives, in strict adherence to established risk function guidelines.

Training field sales executives on effectively handling repossessions and resolving challenging customer collection matters to ensure smooth operations and maintain professional standards.

You will establish and maintain an operational cadence to engage with Agents (Field Officers), ensuring timely execution of collection calls and repossession tasks.

Establish and manage cash collection centers while strategically developing the essential collection area to ensure operational efficiency and financial integrity.

A suitable applicant would likely possess robust qualifications if they meet the following criteria.

A Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or related disciplines is required.

With a minimum of one year of professional experience in a comparable role, you should possess hands-on field experience, particularly in engaging with customers in rural and remote settlements.
