Costar chem Nigeria Limited is in search of a dynamic and technically proficient Civil Engineer to bolster its Sales Department and drive operational expansion.
The successful applicant will integrate deep technical knowledge of construction chemical products with a keen commercial perspective, delivering internal support, generating accurate quotations, enhancing product understanding, and enhancing overall sales outcomes.
Oversee and execute critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards; lead cross-functional initiatives to drive efficiency and innovation; maintain meticulous documentation and compliance with established protocols; collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and strategic growth; analyze performance metrics to inform data-driven decision-making and optimize operational outcomes; provide mentorship and guidance to team members to foster professional development and high-performance culture; represent the organization in external engagements, upholding its reputation and fostering key partnerships.
Serve as a mid-level contributor in the realm of project management and construction operations, overseeing key initiatives and facilitating seamless execution of building projects.
Prepare precise and promptly generated sales quotations in response to customer inquiries.
Provide in-house technical assistance by resolving both customer and internal inquiries regarding product usage and proper application methods.
Offer expert advice on the appropriate selection and implementation of construction chemical products, including but not limited to admixtures, waterproofing solutions, sealants, and flooring systems.
Organize and manage technical webinars, training sessions, and product presentations tailored for engineers and key stakeholders in the built environment.
Provide assistance to the sales team during technical discussions, on-site meetings, and client-facing interactions.
Perform comprehensive data analysis to evaluate sales performance, assess product usage patterns, and identify emerging market trends.
Monitor and communicate product updates, such as newly launched products and enhancements, ensuring stakeholders remain informed of all developments.
Partner with marketing and sales teams to enhance product visibility and expand market share.
Drive the attainment of specified sales targets and business development objectives through proactive contribution and strategic execution.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with 3–5 years of professional experience in software development, preferably in [specific industry or technology, if applicable]. Proficiency in programming languages such as [list languages] is essential, alongside a strong grasp of [mention frameworks, tools, or systems]. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in [key technical skill or area], with the ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions. Candidates with prior involvement in construction chemicals, project management, building materials, or comparable technical sales positions will be considered favorably.
Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of construction chemical applications and field practices.
Proven expertise in developing detailed quotations and addressing customer technical inquiries is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on advanced Excel functions for data analysis.
Excellent verbal communication and the capacity to deliver engaging training sessions and webinars are essential for this role.
Proficiency in recognizing key industry participants, including Sika, Nostoc, BASF, and Chris, among others, is considered beneficial.
Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning to effectively evaluate complex situations and develop optimal solutions. Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Adept at adapting to dynamic environments while maintaining high performance under pressure. Proven ability to lead initiatives with precision, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Exceptional time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently and deliver measurable results.
