The Mechanical Supervisor ensures the efficient management of mechanical systems and machinery operations on a daily basis.

The Mechanical Supervisor plays a pivotal role in guaranteeing the optimal and safe operation of all mechanical equipment.

We are seeking a professional to undertake a range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily workflows, ensuring adherence to company policies, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Key tasks include analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Additionally, the role requires coordinating cross-functional projects, managing stakeholder communications, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The position demands strong problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to drive organizational growth through innovative solutions.

Oversee the consistent upkeep and inspection processes for mechanical equipment, control systems, plumbing infrastructure, power distribution networks, and HVAC systems within the facility.

Perform routine inspections and safety evaluations of all mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Develop and manage weekly maintenance schedules, assigning tasks as required.

Oversee and manage the work of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure efficient team performance and project execution.

Compile detailed analyses of mechanical system functionality and upkeep activities.

Maintain compliance with established quality benchmarks and health and safety protocols to mitigate operational risks and uphold regulatory obligations.

Promptly identify and rectify mechanical malfunctions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.

Conduct comprehensive training sessions for team members to ensure they adhere to industry best practices and become proficient with the latest technologies.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, proficiency in project management tools, and strong communication skills. The ideal applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, demonstrate problem-solving abilities, and possess certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) if applicable. Additionally, experience with agile methodologies, budget oversight, and stakeholder coordination is required.

A Bachelor of Science degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Certification in a trade test is a prerequisite for this role. Candidates must have completed and passed the necessary assessments to demonstrate their proficiency in the designated trade.

Possesses exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal communication, demonstrating clarity, precision, and effectiveness in conveying ideas.

Proficiency in cost estimation software, including MS Office Suite and MS Project, is required.

Proven expertise in conveying information clearly and persuasively, along with a strong aptitude for reaching mutually beneficial agreements.

Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in managing emergency situations with confidence and composure.

Proficient in interpreting blueprints and system schematics is essential.

Experience Required:

A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within the facility management domain is strongly preferred.
