ABOUT THE JOB
The Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASH) Assistant at Ekklesiyar An’UWA a Nigeria (EYE) serves as a field-based professional dedicated to broadening access to sexual and reproductive health information and services for women and girls in Northeast Nigeria, specifically in the regions of Polka and Gaza within Born State. This position entails strengthening service accessibility, fortifying referral pathways for adolescent care, and elevating the competencies of partners and staff in gender-based violence (GBV) and Age-related concerns to ultimately enhance youth health outcomes.
LOCATION: PULKA
Under your supervision, you will oversee a range of critical duties, ensuring seamless workflow and adherence to established standards. Key tasks include managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining meticulous documentation of all activities. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between departments, facilitating effective communication and resolving interdepartmental conflicts. Your role will involve monitoring performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective measures as needed. You are also responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Deliver both group educational sessions and one-on-one counselling focused on sexual and reproductive health services.
Facilitate in-depth sexuality education workshops and caregiver group sessions tailored for adolescents and their families.
Offer expert direction during educational sessions tailored for Community Health volunteers, focusing specifically on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health services.
Conduct safe motherhood sessions specifically designed for pregnant adolescents to ensure their well-being and preparedness for childbirth.
Adapt all pertinent ASH IEC materials to align with the program’s facilities and oversee the reprinting of key ASH publications for effective dissemination.
You will play an active role in supporting the planning and execution of the sensitization campaign focused on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASH) services within the community.
Organize campaigns related to ASRH
Organize community dialogue sessions involving religious and community leaders to introduce adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASH) services and youth-friendly corners, thereby securing their endorsement and active participation.
During health coordination meetings, present updates on project progress and associated program data.
Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly activity reports summarizing key metrics, project progress, and operational performance to ensure transparency and accountability within the team and to stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, and familiarity with regulatory compliance is preferred. A proven track record of delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments is highly advantageous.
A diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant scientific discipline or Public Health is required.
With a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in implementing Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASH) programs, particularly within emergency settings, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of practical expertise to this role.
